CT scan findings in Atrophic rhinitis

1. Roomy Nasal cavities

2. Bowing of the lateral nasal wall

3. Mucoperiosteal thickening of nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses

4. Loss of definition of osteomeatal complex secondary to bone resorption of ethmoidal bulla and uncinate process

5. Presence of crusts could distort CT findings. It is hence always better to remove crusts before submitting the Patient to CT imaging
