Cholesteatoma With Lateral Semicircular Canal Erosion

40 years old male patient came with complaints of:
1. Giddiness - 4 days duration
2. H/o ear discharge (scanty and foul smelling) left ear
3. Nystagmus could be seen - when the patient looks towards the left side
MRI scan:
Showed evidence of cholesteatoma of left middle ear with erosion of lateral semicircular canal
Management: Patient was immediately admitted.
Antibiotics and labyrinthine sedatives started
Modified radical mastoidectomy left ear performed.
Fistula over lateral canal identified and sealed with temporalis fascia graft.
